🥞 Ragi Dosa Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Ragi  (finger millet ) – 1 cup

  • Urad dal– ½ cup

  • Water – as needed

  • vegetables of your choice eg: carrot , capsicum  ( OPTIONAL )

  • Green chili – 1 (finely chopped, optional)

  • Salt – to taste

  •  ghee – for cooking


    Method:

    1. Prepare the batter:

      • In a bowl, mix ragi , urad dal  in water for soaking for 7 hours  . 

      • Grind it along with water into medium thick consistency. Add salt and keep it for 7 hours for fermentation

      • After 7 hours , whisk it well .

    2. Cooking the dosa:

      • Heat a non-stick tawa 

      • Pour a ladle of batter from a height in circular motion .

      • Drizzle a few drops of ghee around edges.

      • Optional - Add grated veggies of your choice 

      • Cook  until golden on one side; then flip and cook the other side briefly.

    3. Serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
